Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden is the fifth of her siblings born at La Jolla on 14 August 1959. Beverly Bushfield was the mother of her child. Thad Harden, who was in military service, was the father. Family members moved often. As they travelled to Greece her interest grew with theater and went to Athens shows. Harden went on to study at American Universities across Europe, then returned to the US after 1983 to continue her education at University of Texas. She received an MFA degree from NYU and began her acting career. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers hilarious satirical tribute to the 1990 gangster movie, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden was in films from 1986 (in The Imagemaker, a lesser-known film The Imagemaker), she played a seductive femme fatale as part of her first role in the mainstream. Harden received praise for her sultry performance as Verna who was a seductive and dangerous moll. Harden worked hard as an actor supporting the character, playing Ava Gardner in Sinatra (92), the television biopic of Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
